I studied Foreigh Literature and Languages in Florence and my main interests have always been art, theatre and fashion.
Unconventional Florence is my new project, a different way to see and savor Florence with a personal local tour guide.
I lived in London, Paris and Berlin, discovering amazing creative scenes.
I rediscovered Florence after I had travelled all over Europe and visited the most important museums in the world. I was fascinated by modern and contemporary art and I just forgot I was born in a great art-imbued place!
I decided it was time to go back home and to plunge into Florence art and history.
It was time to transfom my passion into a job. It was time to be a personal guide and to organize private tours in the place I’ve always loved: Florence.
In 2008 I become a licensed tour guide and since then I have also realized how rich Florence is in terms of local craftmanship, design and fashion which are definitely connected.
I can say now that Renaissance was one the most important social and cultural changes ever happend. In the 15th century Florence was an artistic and businness centre, where wealthy and cultivated people together with artists gave birth to modernity and changed the world and its representation.
This is the message I would like to convey during my private guided tours: we live in a world that is still affected and influenced by the great Renaissance Florentine geniuses.
I would like to share with you my passion for Florence and how it feels like living in a place that shaped extra-ordinary personalities like Brunelleschi, Donatello, Leonardo Da Vinci and Michelangelo. The outstanding buildings we will see together just represent great ideals, good taste and an incredibile pragmatism.
Florence is an open-air museum and as a local guide, I’m glad to show you its secret places and corners.
Travelling is a way I still draw inspiration from, a way to understand Florence through different styles and cultures. At the same time it is always interesting to see Florence through your eyes. This is one of the many reasons why I love this job. I mostly organize private tours because it ‘s just the best way to get in touch with people and share their perspectives.
